Originally apprentice trained in medieval oak restoration, Sean Broadbent gained several years of time served experience before deciding to start his own company. Since then Sean has gone into partnership with brother Gary and, after eleven years in business, the brothers have worked in nearly all fields of joinery and carpentry. The company has expanded from a modest sized workshop incorporating a small inventory of joinery machines into a 5000 square foot workshop. This allows RF to take on jobs both large and small using traditional methods whilst still maintaining high levels of quality.
At RF we offer customers an exclusive design and build service. After extensive discussion, usually involving a site visit, we work with customers to draw up an exclusive design. Specific timbers are selected then the design is constructed in the workshop. The finished construction is sent to polishers, and finally the team complete the process by installing on site.
We have access to a lot of timber yards allowing us to source from a large and varied selection of timbers. This ensures we can offer you the best timber for the build, and the most visually pleasing.
Although we work with new and innovative ideas, we do not forget the traditions of our trade. Most of our customers ask for periodic carpentry simply because they know it will be of very high quality and will stand the test of time. We take great pride in our work as we are creating something that will in all probablity be part of a future heritage.
